UNIDA, a global management group of Spanish Travel Agencies, celebrates its annual meeting in Segovia this weekend

UNIDA, the management group of 160 travel agencies (mainly retailers), meets this weekend (7 and 8 in April) in Segovia.

Constituted in 1996, UNIDA is defined by its excellent professionalism and preparation, by a personalized service and by its knowledge in the different aspects of the travel market.

This group meets every year to advance and decide on their best adaptation to the future, always putting their knowledge and experience in value. The group makes globally more than 300 million euros each year and generates more than 500 direct jobs according to the data provided by the Vice President and CEO of the Unida group, Luis García-Patiño.

The Diputación de Segovia, through Prodestur Turismo, has decidedly supported UNIDA so that the meeting of this 2018 will be held in Segovia. The City Council, the Royal Site of San Ildefonso, the Glass Factory and the Business Federation of Segovia have also sponsored the meeting in some way, which will have as partners prestigious companies in the tourism sector.

This Convention will show business initiatives, with emphasis on technological proposals to address the issues of data security, use of tools in the cloud, and the best way to inform and serve the customer, both online and in person, thus providing an PREMIUM service.

This morning the Deputy of Prodestur, Magdalena Rodriguez, along with the councilor for Economic Development, Employment and Innovation of the capital, José Bayón, have welcomed at the Hotel Cándido to the 110 participants who attend the Convention this year, among agents of travel, suppliers and companions. In the act, Magdalena has taken the opportunity to show them the major tourist attractions of our province. Then, during the working day, the companions will visit the city of Segovia, thanks to the collaboration of the City Council.

It will be Sunday when both the travel agents and their companions enjoy the program prepared by the Diputación de Segovia. Thanks to the collaboration of the areas of Culture, Food of Segovia and especially of Prodestur Tourism, participants will travel to the Royal Site of San Ildefonso to visit the Royal Glass Factory, the Palace, the gardens and their operating fountains, finish at the Real Sitio Town Hall, where thanks to Alimentos de Segovia and Prodestur, participants can taste the typical products of our province before starting the trip back to their places of origin.
