The works to restructure and modernize the dependencies of the building in which the Prodestur laboratory is located on the Riaza road, next to the Juan Pablo II residence, have been completed after six months.
The president of the Diputación Francisco Vázquez, wanted to know the result of the work undertaken that have also affected the urbanization and access and the external appearance of the building. During the visit he was accompanied by the Deputy of Administration and Personnel, José Luis Sanz Merino, and the Deputy of Prodestur Magdalena Rodríguez; as well as by the head of the Architecture and Urbanism service of the Diputación and provincial architect, Juan Antonio Miranda; and the provincial surveyor, Miguel Ángel Tejedor.
The works of reform of the road and the exterior of the building were awarded to the company Cad3 Salud for a final amount of 60.327 euros and have focused on the change of all the exterior carpentry of the administrative building and improvement of the exterior appearance, with the placement of a coating with bands of pinto wood treated and painted to the water very in accordance with the environment.
On the access road there was currently a metal fence that prevented cleaning work. In addition to building a steel strip, a fencing line has been placed with metal pieces that will serve to mark the separation between spaces: on the one hand, the road and sidewalk, and on the other the green space wooded.
The Department of Architecture of the Provincial Council has undertaken with its own means complementary works of reform of interior spaces, in which jobs have been redistributed and thermal insulation has been improved. New materials have also been placed for the laboratory countertops. In addition, two new bathrooms have been built, the library has been divided into two offices and the interior walls have been painted. The budget for the intervention carried out by administration is 38.547,80 euros.
