The Provincial Council will be present at the Fairway Fair, III Forum of the Camino de Santiago

Among the promotional actions that are carried out to disseminate the province's tourism offer, Prodestur Segovia Turismo, the organism of the Provincial Council in charge of tourism management, will be present from 10 to 12 in February at the third edition of the Fairway Fair , III Forum of the Camino de Santiago, to be held in the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions of Santiago de Compostela.
Fairway is the Forum of the Camino de Santiago. It has an exhibition fair, workshop, congress, investment forum, a training program and an open day with activities for all audiences.
The fair is a space that addresses the phenomenon of the Camino in all its breadth. It is a place of reflection to address the needs and problems of this European cultural itinerary, balancing spiritual, religious and cultural approaches with tourism and economic optics.
In the same way, it is a framework for networking, the creation of networks to trace the future of this world heritage site, combining multiple ways of understanding it.
It is the necessary meeting point of supply and demand, to give consistency to the tourist product generated around the routes to Santiago de Compostela. Encourage the stretch of road that runs through the province is one of the tourist arguments in which the council will emphasize this 2019. This was announced in the last edition of the International Tourism Fair that was held in Madrid at the end of last January.
Prodestur Segovia Turismo will promote the Camino de Santiago as the main reference product at an international level. Last year the autonomous body dependent on Diputación de Segovia allocated part of its resources to adequately signaling the Camino de Madrid as it passed through our province to turn it into a great tourist route. A work that continues in this 2019 until completing the marking of the entire route.
Fairway Fair addresses the culture, cuisine and innovation around the Jacobean way, as well as its level of internationalization of the main street of Europe, which involves an exchange of knowledge, generation of cultural, spiritual and economic values.
The leadership in the pilgrimage routes is a phenomenon in peak that supposes a space of multilevel work for the different administrations involved.
It is, therefore, an open initiative launched from Santiago that knows that the roads that lead to this city are much more than the city itself, with the message of transferring the idea of a place to commit and get to work for the benefit of the Jacobean route above the differences.
