In 1979, the Leonese musician Amancio Prada published under the label of the Movieplay label what would be his fifth album, Songs of Love and Cell, a title that forty years later brings him to the stage of the Juan Bravo Theater to give voice to some verses among which were several of the singer-songwriter himself composed next to the poet Agustín García Calvo, as Free I love you or has awakened me at dawn, and other writers such as Juan de la Enzina, Antonio Machado or Rabindranath Tagore; representatives of very different times, but lovers of a very similar love.
Almost half a century later, the voice of the musician from the Leonese town of Dehesas is one of the most authorized to sing to love for the letters of the Castilian language. And, since 1974, the year in which he began to take the stage, he has not stopped spinning, recording and obtaining awards that have sometimes been linked to the names of Federico García Lorca, Teresa de Jesús, Jorge Manrique or Rosalía from Castro.
Amancio Prada is an author's song, is a guitar in hand and is the reflection of the passage of time through cities, from Paris to Segovia. It is, as the title of one of his more than thirty albums, troubadour, mystic and romantic. As sonnet as song.
