Castilian soup


Recipe for 6 rations

INGREDIENTS
 
  • 100 gr of oil or lard
  • 100 gr of chopped lean ham
  •  
    150 gr of bread from the day before, sliced. (If possible, loaf)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  •  
    3 cloves of garlic
  •  
    6 poached eggs
  • 1 l of broth or water
  •  
    A few grains of cumin *


In a frying pan, melt the butter or oil and add the garlic.

When they are lightly browned, add the ham and the slices of bread. Fry for 2 min and add the paprika. Brown it and add broth or water; then it is seasoned and poured into six clay pots. The eggs are poached for 3 min in the oven. Serve very hot.

 

* Cumin, if you like its aroma, will fall when the soup begins to boil.
