In Segovia, the third section of the Vía Verde Valle del Eresma project has been incorporated, finished in March of this year, between Nava de la Asunción and Olmedo, of almost 23 kilometers. In this way it is already possible to move along this road that connects Segovia with the Valladolid town. The open sections are as follows:
1. From Segovia to Yanguas: 25km
2 From Yanguas to Vava: 25km
3. From Nava to Olmedo: 23km
These routes have a wide range of natural, cultural, landscape and historical qualities that allow the promotion, valorization and knowledge of the rural environment among the population, as well as the recovery of transport infrastructure, now obsolete, offering hikers and cyclists A wide range of itineraries. They are paths to travel on foot or by bicycle, guaranteeing the minimum environmental impact in the environment while favoring environmentally friendly transport systems, thus promoting sustainable mobility.
To disseminate the possibilities offered by the Natural Paths along its itineraries, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has included in its website a series of proposals grouped in the section 'Thematic reports', for whom, next to the walk through the itinerary, they want to enjoy landscapes of special beauty through forests or biosphere reserves or complement the tour with visits to historical monuments such as castles, or routes such as El Cid or Don Quijote.
