Tierra de Sabor representing Castilla y León at Gastronómika in San Sebastián

The Community will show its cuisine this afternoon with the presentation of 'Pichón de Tierra de Campos' which, accompanied by Luis Alberto Lera, will be accompanied by white, red and rosé wines from Tierra de Sabor. Today there are also white wines from the Ribera del Duero DO.

The Vice Minister of Rural Development and General Director of the Agrarian Technological Institute, Jorge Llorente, has visited the stand of Tierra de Sabor in San Sebastián Gastronomika, an event that has become an excellent showcase for quality food products of the Community, through of the Tierra de Sabor brand. Until next Wednesday, more than 13.000 professional visitors and the most qualified gastronomic prescribers will pass through the Kursaal of San Sebastián.

Llorente has highlighted the importance of participating in San Sebastián Gastronomika since "it allows us to meet the objective of publicizing the wide range of foods and wines hosted by Tierra de Sabor and making them available to professionals." As the vice councilor recalled, “for this, tastings are offered at our stand every day in the morning and in the afternoon, highlighting the product as a high quality raw material”.

Among other products, during the congress, in the area of ​​Tierra de Sabor, a wide variety of Community cheeses is offered, Cecina de León is cut and Guijuelo ham is tasted.

The activities

In this event, of first international level, this evening the gastronomy of Castilla y León is presented. With the help of Luis Alberto Lera, from the Lera restaurant in Castroverde de Campos (Zamora), the activity 'Pichón de Tierra de Campos' will value the Community's product and the many possibilities it offers. All this paired with white, red and rosé wines from Tierra de Sabor.

This afternoon the new white wines of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin will also be presented at this relevant gastronomic congress.

Tomorrow, starting at 16 hours, Luis Alberto Lera himself will be in charge of giving the presentation 'The hunt in contemporary' at the San Sebastián Gastronomika auditorium.
