The president of the Provincial Council, Miguel Ángel de Vicente, accompanied by the deputy of the Area of Culture, Youth and Sports, José María Bravo, presented the project, which has a budget of over 15.000 euros. 'Young Interpreters' is framed "within the possibility of offering a possibility of alternative and healthy leisure for young people in our province."
“In this way, an atmosphere will be created that encourages classical music, from all ages and styles, and particularly music written for solo instruments and chamber music, to be appreciated, understood and enjoyed by the general public as a cultural manifestation, interpreted by young people who will find spaces for their professional development, ”said De Vicente.
In addition, this program seeks to dynamically revitalize the towns of the province, with an activity aimed primarily at young people, who are currently those who lack more training and leisure offer.
The artists participating in this project come from across the national geography, and also from Segovia, as is the case of: Cuarteto Picos, Mercedes García Gutiérrez and Sucussan.
In addition, they will perform: Duo Ahijado Pagán (Jaén), Scherzo (Valladolid), Vinari Letari (Madrid), María Eugenia Barcia Mendiola (Madrid) and Serendipia.
The program will begin next Sunday 22 of September in Torrecilla del Pinar, with the performance of the Pico Quartet, and will end on Saturday 4 of January in Chatún, with the performance of this Segovian string quartet. In their concerts they will perform a selection of cinematographic soundtracks from films as well known as: 'Memories of Africa', 'Amelie', 'La vie en rose', 'Bohemian Rapsody', 'Pirates of the Caribbean', 'Game of Thrones', 'Life is beautiful' and 'The lord of the rings', among others.
In the three and a half months that this cycle of concerts will last, the young performers will visit: Otero de Herreros, Arcones, Cuéllar, Navas de Riofrío, Sacramenia, Fuentepelayo, Cantalejo, Valverde del Majano, Labajos, Grajera, Cantimpalos, Riaza, Navalmanzano, Boceguillas, Bernardos, Navas de Oro.
