Segovia musseum

Segovia musseum

Installed in the Casa del Sol or El Espolón, it was an old fortification of the wall that also served as a slaughterhouse during the time of Enrique IV. Its origin as a museum dates back to 1842, when it received works from convents suppressed by the Disentailment. Between its bottoms they emphasize two boar celtíberos, Roman pieces, visigodas, tables of Castilian painters and flamencos of the s. XV and XVI as well as coins from the Segovian Mint, La Granja glasses, religious sculptures, contemporary paintings, Dürer's engravings and works by Rembrandt.
