The exhibition takes a retrospective journey through the work of Roberto González Fernández, one of the most recognized figures in contemporary Spanish figuration. The sample is made up of more than 70 works, mostly oil paintings, although some prints and pieces of digital photography are also included, which run chronologically from 1975 to 2020. Given that it is an artist who works mainly based on thematic series , the exhibition is organized by thematic groups of works, among which are included those that have given this creator the most celebrity: "Holyrood", "Vanitas", "Of Love and Death", "Second Alphabet", "In Memoriam" , “Politically incorrect”, “Damn Black Gold” or the most recent one, completed during the recent period of confinement, “Revelation 7.1”, which is presented for the first time this time. The artist - today an internationally consolidated figure - wanted to return to Segovia forty-five years after having made one of his first and most significant exhibitions at La Casa del Siglo XV, through the mediation of the late Segovian painter José Manuel Contreras; the exhibition is dedicated to this artist, as well as to that gallery.
